Help is in reach.
So you’re looking to start therapy!
You probably have been turning this idea over in your head for some time, or maybe I’m the start of your search. Either way, here’s what to expect:
Therapy is a place to speak unfiltered. Often times, there’s issues that you can’t think your way out of on your own, and it’s not because you’re not enough. You could be the world’s best mechanic and can’t be both driving the car and working under the hood at the same time. It’s a problem of perspective, and it might be time to to ask for a perspective outside of your own head.
Unlike a car though, you’re a person. You have your own hopes and values and fears and possibilities. My style of therapy is about respecting the unified picture of your identity, even if you are at odds with yourself, or even if you struggle to love what you have to work with. We are all works in progress. My role is all about supporting you in that direction that you want to see change for the better.
There are times where therapy is about letting yourself feel your emotions without the pressure of judgment or criticism. Sometimes, it’s the place to cry. Other times, it is the space for you to witness yourself say things you ordinarily wouldn't risk. If you’re ready to start or want to talk to me to learn more, feel free to call, email or just click below to find a time on my calendar to talk.
Now on to the formal part:
I maintain my license in Pennsylvania as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and hold a Masters of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Kutztown University, where I also completed my Bachelor's of Science in Psychology. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and for the foreseeable future, all of my sessions are conducted through telehealth, powered by SimplePractice. This software suite works on any personal computer with a webcam and microphone, as well as both iOS and Android devices. Access through most web browsers are also supported. I currently hold my clinical hours from Monday-Thursday, starting at 10 AM, and concluding at 9 PM. If you contact me outside of those hours, if I am unable to respond immediately, know I will have seen your contact! As of this writing, I have no waitlist. If you are looking for a faster response, mornings and mid-afternoons work best to contact me! Thanks for taking the time to read this, I hope we can talk together soon.
